The True Story

Truly inspiring. That is the only way I can explain the extraordinary legend Michael Joe Jackson (the KING of pop and perhaps the most talented, controversial, and misunderstood musical artist who ever lived). This a video that I ran across on Youtube. It is an documentary of Michael Jackson done in 2003 filmed by Martin Bashir: the true story that you weren't supposed to hear. Watching it truly touched me. It was heart wrenching to view the entire series and brought me to tears. In the words of the greatest entertainer of all time, "Before you judge me, try hard to love me."

My Tribute to the King

Every icon has their own brand, their own signature—an innovative dance move, a special wardrobe piece—that separates them from other artists, which makes their fans REMEMBER them. Whether it was his ever-so-piercing “Hee” croon in the background of his tracks, or the blatant snatching of his crotch and pelvis thrust combination—you remembered this talented and truly brilliant entertainer for something. Michael Jackson had many trademarks, like his smooth impersonation of the moonwalk, his infamous sparkly glove, and his awfully chic high-water pants, just to name a few more.

There is no doubt in my mind that Michael Jackson will always be remembered, but will he ever be known? I know what you’re thinking: Of course, he’ll be known! He was a celebrity. The world knew Michael Jackson, the KING of pop. In the eighties we were introduced to Michael Jackson, the child star turned super star. By the twentieth century, America, as well as the rest of the world, had gotten very well acquainted with Michael Jackson, the legend and humble humanitarian. We’ve even been tempted (by the harsh, money-hungry media) to meet “Wacko Jacko”, the pedophile/child molester/rapist. However, after over four decades of Michael residing as the universe’s most famous man, we have yet to know Michael Jackson, the person.

Liplicious

Lip gloss is my must-have, can't-leave-the-house-without-it accessory. For me it completes every outfit and adds some sparkle to my look. I love the Liplicious collection at Bath & Body Works because it lasts for hours and tastes really good! And the best about this gloss is that it is rich in Vitamin E and is designed to glide on effortlessly (which it does).

My First

Today I did my first official fashion show in honor of the sisters of the AKA sorority and their 25th anniversary! Check out this chic and comfortable black dress. I wore this piece during the Eileen Fisher segment of the show. It's a knee-length surplice dress in stretch silk jersey. I paired it with a pair of black leggings and silver flats I snatched up from Old Navy. i felt super confident in my silk dress. Did you hear me? I said silk! Too bad I didn't get to keep the clothes but it was still a blast.

Eat Your Heart Out Dress

I have a dress just like this in red that I bought at Express! I even bought it on sale for 50% off and only ended up paying $30 for it. I love this dress because it hugs my curves just the right way and is sexy by being simple.

Today was my first time attending a live taping of BET's 106th and park. I had no clue Jamie Foxx was going to be there and when he hopped on stage without cue or prior introduction, he shocked everyone! Even hosts Terrence J. and Rocsi. I had so much fun in New York, even though I got completely wet--soaked, drenched--from the rain!

About The Author

I know you must be thinking "This girl must have NO life!" and if you are...then you're right...somewhat. I do have a lot of time on my hands, therefore in my spare time I like to practice my writing skills so that one day someone will be paying me to do this. I love to laugh, live everyday like it’s my last, love I’m not so lucky with. I regret nothing, even some of my stupidest mistakes. I may rumored to be loud, stubborn, and somewhat manipulative but no one will ever stop me from living life the way I long to. I am strong physically, emotionally, morally and in character. As my recent astronomical evaluation suggests, I am a true Scorpio because I am passionate, controlling, obsessive, and far too ambitious for my own good. As far as my political and religious views go...lets just say that I have my own. I am an eighteen-year-old writer with ginormous dreams of becoming an editor at a top-notch magazine like Cosmopolitan, who in the meantime dedicates my free time to humoring you with stories from my life through this blog. Lucky you...you get to read all of my thoughts!
